Ændre Arthouse is the current creative project of James Mackessy & Sarah Farrell, founders of lille æske
(Boulder Creek, CA). With our backgrounds in performance, event management, food service, and design, we have developed a curatorial style that thrives at the intersection of performance, visual, and culinary art.
In our search for a space to expand our vision in we have stumbled upon a beautiful Mid-Century church that sits abandoned in historic Racine, Wisconsin. The size and layout of the building allows for large gatherings, a cafe lounge, art gallery and more. The church's large fellowship hall provides ample facility for creative space and group gatherings, while the existing commercial kitchen on site will facilitate cafe operations and a range of culinary happenings.
By integrating performance, visual, and culinary arts in a design-forward ambiance that engages local organizations and charities, Ændre offers a synergistic cultural experience that strengthens community and celebrates the overlap between arts, appetites, and values.
While we have rallied our life savings to buy and convert this historic space into a home for the arts, we need just a little more financial help to achieve our funding goals. If you are willing to make a gift to us at this crucial moment it will bring us that much closer to ensuring that this vision becomes a reality.
When you give today, you will become one of our Founding Luminaries, acknowledged in various ways in our literature, on-site, and online.
