My name is James, and I am raising funds to launch Actively Men, a youth organization in South Dekalb, GA. Every day, I hear conversations about the challenges facing our community—crime, violence, fatherlessness, and a lack of opportunity. Many young people grow up without positive male role models, and while most of us recognize these problems, I believe that conversations alone won't change our communities. Action does. Instead of waiting for someone else to make a difference, I decided to become part of the solution. That's why Actively Men was created: to bring men together to mentor, teach, and positively impact youth through practical life skills, character development, community involvement, and faith in Jesus Christ. Our youth don't just need people to believe in them—they need people willing to show up for them.

 Before we can serve thousands of young people, we need to build Actively Men the right way. Every mentor and board member is volunteering their time, and no one is receiving a salary. Every dollar raised will go directly toward establishing Actively Men and creating meaningful opportunities for youth in our community. Your support will help us provide tents, tables, water, refreshments, and equipment for our first free community event; purchase educational materials and youth program supplies; introduce Actively Men throughout South DeKalb; legally establish Actively Men as a Georgia nonprofit corporation; obtain federal 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status; secure liability insurance; complete volunteer onboarding and background checks; and build our website and online donation system.
