Support aspiring artists through the LAF

Latino Arts Foundation Website 

The Latino Arts Foundation (aka Latino Foundation for the Arts or LAF) provides no cost art mentorship in creative writing, visual art, and photography/videography for youth in Kansas City.  The Foundation maintains an open space that encourages artistic expression and is built on the diverse cultural stories of all artists – it is an artist-based space that is OF their community and FOR their community. 

It is fundamental to the LAF mission of inclusion and opportunity that there be no cost to participate in these programs, so we need your support to bring this vision to life! Money collected will help to provide art supplies at no cost for the students participating in the mentorship program, workshops, and additional activities held throughout the year.  

Visual Art  - $40.00 per mentee per one 10 week session. This includes acrylic and oil paint, markers, watercolor palette, kneaded eraser, glue, paintbrushes, paper including drawing paper, sketchbook, watercolor paper and rolls of paper. 

Videography - $100.00 per student per one 10 week session.  This includes a tripod, headphones, a camera and/or personal phone useage, speakers.

Creative writing - $20.00 per student per one 10 week session.  This includes writing pad/notebok, pencils, pens and erasers, post it notes, dry erase board, dry erase markers and chart paper.
