There are thousands of homeless people in Las Vegas, Nevada, living in a city known for its wealth and billion-dollar casinos. The contrast between the city's prosperity and the struggles of its homeless population inspired me to take action. As part of a documentary project, I recently went through the shelter system myself to understand the challenges firsthand and see how things are run without revealing that I wasn't actually homeless. What I witnessed was eye-opening: there are not enough shelters, and the ones that exist are becoming more crowded every day, with limited resources for those in need.

My goal is to raise funds that will go directly toward providing food, hygiene supplies, and shelter for the homeless community. I want to use some of the city's vacant hotels as safe places where people can shower, get a good night's rest, and begin to rebuild their lives. Many in this community are struggling with mental illness, and they need support and compassion to get back on their feet. I know that not everyone experiencing homelessness is dealing with addiction—many just need a chance and a helping hand.

I don't have all the answers, but I know that doing nothing changes nothing. I'm taking a stand to help, and I believe that if everyone gives even a dollar, together we can make a real difference. Your support, no matter how small, can help bring hope and change to our community. I also plan to speak at city council to advocate for real solutions and highlight the contrast between the city's wealth and the struggles faced by those just steps away from the Las Vegas Strip. Please join me in making a difference for the homeless in Las Vegas. Thank you for caring and for being part of the solution.
