Help Larason come home

Donation protected
Larason Guthrie recently had a major heart attack and although he is doing better than expected, he will no longer have to have the ability to walk even the few steps he had been to bathe, use the bathroom or get in his scooter.

This means he will require an electric wheelchair to be able to continue living at home and be cared for by his family.  Medicare does not cover these chairs nor the small home modifications that will be needed to ensure his safety and comfort at home.

Larason Guthrie has been a fixture in Belfast for 30 years as a founding member of the Belfast Maskers, a drama coach at the BAHS, a member of the Design Review Board of the City of Belfast, and in many other roles.

Even losing his legs to neuropathy never stopped him and he could be seen scooting all over Belfast, sometimes even wearing his favorite squirrel head.
Larason is in good spirits and continues to improve and we are so grateful to all the folks at Waldo County General Hospital and Harbor Hill for their outstanding professionalism and constant kindness.

Would you please chip in a small amount? Together we can help Larason get home.

Thank you, Susan Guthrie
