Help Lance beat cancer!

Donation protected

Hi, my name is Beth. For the past few months, my son - Lance, has been battling the Big C. He underwent surgery last February 2021 due to a large mass that was found on his left testicle. Before March ended, he was diagnosed with Stage 3 Testicular Cancer. The largest tumor has been successfully removed however, there was a tumor that the doctor did not touch because it was very near a major artery and he didn't want to risk it.

My son is only 19 years old and he has been fighting cancer like a champ! He underwent 3 cycles of chemotherapy for the past few months. His initial blood test results show that the cancer cells in his body has been decreasing and we were so ecstatic! But as we all know, cancer can be very irrational and unpredictable. Before the start of his 4th cycle, he started feeling pain in his abdomen. When his lab test results came out, the tumor that was left increased in size. From its original 3cm, it is now at 9cm. Due to this, his kidney and urethra are starting to feel the pressure of the enlarged tumor. For now, we can only give him pain relievers to somehow ease his pain but this is just a temporary fix.

With the complication that arose, Lance needs to undergo 2 procedures.

The first procedure is to put a stent in his urethra to somehow avoid it being completely squashed by the tumor and prevent kidney malfunction. However, there is still a possibility that this might not be successful. In case the stent insertion will not work, a nephrostomy tube is to be done so we can successfully drain his kidney of urine. It has the same goal of avoiding kidney malfunction.

The second procedure is Pelvic Lymph Node Dissection to remove the remaining mass. We want to avoid the mass increase its size or spread out. This mass is, as mentioned before, located near a major artery that is why during Lance's operation, he will have a group of doctors with him: 2 Urologists, his Oncologist, a General Surgeon, and a Vascular Surgeon.

After his surgery, we will re-assess our next steps.

With these procedures, the complexity of the operation, and the number of doctors who will be taking care of Lance during his operation, we need to prepare between 1 Million to 1.5 Million Pesos (roughly around 40k CAD). We need to raise this within the next 3 weeks. Fighting cancer means every second counts.

We are reaching out to your good hearts to help us raise the said amount. Please help us fight cancer. At the age of 19, we all want him to overcome this hurdle. We want his chance to enjoy a normal youth just like what most of us experienced.

Above all, please include my son in your prayers. I still believe in miracles. We are all holding on to the hope that he will overcome this, come out stronger, and shout to the world that he beat cancer!

Any amount will go a long way.

Thank you for the help and prayers.
