<div>The story of Lana Al-Zayti

</div>

</div>

<div>My name is Lana Al-Zaiti, I am twenty years old. My life was never easy, but it was never this black. I was living with my little family in a warm house, studying at university and dreaming of a bright future. But the war stole everything from me.

</div>

<div>On a day I never forgot, I lost my father and brother in one moment. I didn't even find time to say goodbye to them, the war kidnapped them from my hands. Fate was not satisfied with that, but my house was destroyed, and I was displaced in the streets homeless. My dream of education was lost, the doors of my university were closed, and my hopes for a future I thought was close.

</div>

<div>Today, I live in a small tent on the side of the street. The cold of winter stings me, and the heat of summer suffocates my breath. Every day I wake up in the hope that this nightmare will end, and I return to a normal life, but the suffering increases.

<div>After all, I didn't lose hope. I believe that God will not forget His servants, and that there are those who hear my voice and see my suffering. I am writing my story today to tell the world: We are not numbers, we are human beings who have dreams, memories and rights in life. May my words reach your hearts, and give us a helping hand, maybe tomorrow will be more beautiful.
