Please help support Lana and Lisa Mitchell. Over the past few years, Lisa and Lana have spent a tremendous amount of money on general and private hospital bills, medical devices and in home nurses in an effort to keep their mother alive and to live out her days comfortably and without suffering in Antigua.
Unfortunately she lost her fight March 9, leaving Lisa and Lana devastated .
Please find it in your hearts to help these girls who are in need of financial assistance to help cover medical and burial expenses.

Our mother, Gladys Lucille Mitchell, was a warm and charitable woman who tried to always help others. She was a proud and dignified woman who had a passion for life. Her great sense of humour and high degree of intellect endeared her to everyone she encountered, which is demonstrated in her many long-lasting friendships she made over the years.
Growing up during a time when economic hardships and labour unrest were prevalent in the British West Indies, she persevered and excelled at everything she endeavoured. Our Mother was brought up with traditional values and learnt the skills that a woman of her era should – cooking, sewing, crocheting and embroidery, as well as a love of history.
Mom taught us many of the values that we have instilled in us today. She was very loving, supportive and was always there for us. She would spend hours sewing outfits for us to wear or helping us with our homework. At special occasions, she would spend days in the kitchen cooking a wonderful lunch or dinner with everyone’s favourite dishes. Mom has always been our strength and comfort when times were tough.
She will be missed by all, but her memory will live on in us all forever. We love you so much, Mom, and will miss you more than words can say.
Our Mom’s suffering ended when she died on a warm sunny day on March 9th 2018 at 9:30 am. She has gotten her wish and is now in heaven with the love of her life, our Dad.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, April 5th 2018 at St. Andrews church, Fort Road, St. John’s, Antigua. We would appreciate donations towards her remaining medical bills and funeral expenses in lieu of flowers. If you would like to donate, just click on the donate button and donate whatever you can.
