Help Lacinda and Laura get a car

Hi, my name is Lacinda and I'm a 30 yr old disabled BIPOC that lives my 55 yr old disabled Lumbee mom/caretaker (we're both on disability and we have a verylow income) and we really need a car for transportation. It's been 15 years since we had one and we've managed (barely) to get where we need to go by walking or riding a bicycle. But, in the last few years, we've gotten sicker and businesses that were near, have moved. I have vertigo, seizures, fibromyalgia, and arthritis in my knees and she has all that, plus acute chronic bronchitis, arthritis in her whole body. It makes getting places very difficult. Now, we have to beg for rides or try and use the local Medicaid transportation.
We really need our own vehicle, so we can visit drs in other cities and move to a better neighborhood. In the past 4 years, our neighborhood has majorly flooded twice and the neighborhood has gone downhill very quickly. We used to be able to walk outside without worrying, but now it's very dangerous. Dangerous people have filled the neighborhood and it's not safe for us anymore. Our house has mold, the floor is falling in, and the roof is caving in. We don't know what else to do or who else to ask.
It's not safe anymore or livable anymore. Staying here is no longer an option, but we can't move anywhere in our price range because we'd need a car to get anywhere. I'm not sure if I'm saying this right, but I'm trying. None of our family will help us out, so we're reaching out. It's just the two of us and have been for many years. I've done research on how much it'd cost to buy an used car, pay for the fees (licenses, tags, insurance, insurance for a year, etc) and it'd come up to way more than we could ever afford without saving every penny for 2 whole years, but we might not have that long. We're getting sicker and our neighborhood is always in the danger of being flooded. We need your help. Please help us not be stuck here.
