Help La Perla Panaderia

La Perla Panaderia, the Mexican bakery located on Water Street in downtown Washington,  NC, suffered a devastating fire in the early morning hours of December  16, 2020.

This business has been an integral part of the downtown Washington  and Beaufort County community for many years. 

Coupled with the challenges that 2020 has already thrown at small businesses, we cannot imagine how this family is feeling and want to do something to help.

We are raising money to give to the family to help them in whatever capacity works for them - new equipment, restocking ingredients,  renting  a new location, paying bills or just getting through the holidays. 

Please consider giving what you can - even $1 or $5 helps if we all pitch in!   All proceeds will be given directly to the owners.

If you would prefer to donate in person, Rachel K's Bakery in downtown Washington will have a collection jar on their counter.

*Who is raising this money?   This is spearheaded by Rachel K Jordan, who owns Rachel K's Bakery just around the corner from La Perla.   Her kids attend school with their kids and have been on the same ball teams, etc.   All monies will go directly to the family - pinkie promise! *
