My husband and I are facing a challenging time as he goes through immigration proceedings. The legal fees for his appeal are overwhelming, and we need to raise funds quickly to meet the deadline for filing. As a teacher and a gig worker, our resources are limited, and the pressure of these costs is affecting our ability to focus on work, daily life, and the other needs of our family. Over the past year, we have already paid significant fees and attorney costs for our I-130, and we are facing even more expenses related to other immigration fees. Our immigration journey is not over—while the I-130 is being processed, we need to continue to appeal his asylum claim, which brings additional legal and financial challenges. We are doing everything we can to keep our family together and navigate this process, but we can't do it alone.
