The owner/mother of one of our cherished dogs Kuu has experienced a devastating event which has partially demolished her home through severe storms on August 9th, when Ajigasawa Town, Aomori Prefecture received 198.5mm of rain in a 24 hour period, the highest on record. Kuu’s mom has experienced damage of at least 5.5 million yen to her home (~$39,000USD / ~$57,500 AUD, 34,000 GBP / 307,000 HKD). This does not include" the loss of many treasured items and appliances. Please scroll down to updates section for photos.
Kuu has now gone to pet heaven earlier this July. During her hard time of losing her loveable pet, she also has had to face this ruthless natural disaster. I hope everyone can lend a helping hand to help Kuu's owner to face such difficulties."
I am raising funds to help Kuu’s owner afford repairs and some reconstruction of her home along with basic amenities, such as appliances and replacement of furniture.
Kuu’s mom is a humble and kind lady. I have volunteered to raise funds for her reconstruction to help repay her for the joy and love she has brought to the Instagram pet community
“Losing the house is very sad. In the case of my house, it was partially destroyed, not completely destroyed, so the insurance was only a consolation money. The first floor is completely destroyed, so it is almost completely destroyed… Until recently, I couldn't use the bath because it was covered in mud every day, so I went to a nearby hot spring. I couldn't even use the washing machine. I tried to fix it, but it didn't work. I went to the laundromat again today.
The coin laundry in the neighbourhood was also submerged, so I had to drive for about 40 minutes round trip. We threw away large pieces of furniture and home appliances in a truck. After discarding the large items, we are now working on disposing of small items... strangely, even though the furniture was washed away, only the empty altar remained. She tried her best to protect me.”

今回は、8月9日に青森の鰺ヶ沢町で起こった大雨の影響で家が半壊してしまった白い柴犬のくうのお母さんのために募金を募ります。
その日は、記録的大雨で、降水量は観測史上最大の198.5ｍｍを観測しました。住宅や商業施設など百棟以上が水に浸かり、彼女の家も被害を受け、たくさんの大切なものを失いました。そんな彼女のために修理が必要となった家の工事代、生活に必要な家電や家具代として皆さんに募金をお願いしたいです。
彼女は、とても謙虚で優しい女性で、以前は今は天国にいる白い柴犬くうの写真をInstagramに投稿してペットコミュニティーを盛り上げてくれていました。投稿の内容は、可愛くてクリエイティブなものばかりで、いつもみんなを楽しませ、温かい気持ちにさせてくれるものばかりでした。私個人もいつもその投稿から元気をもらっていたので、今度は自分が今までのお返しをしたいという気持ちで募金を募っています。

雨は8月9日以前より数日間降り続けていました。
川の水位が上がって危険水位を超えたので非難指示が出され速やかに避難するようにとの通達がありましたので、私は急いで父の位牌と写真、空の遺骨と写真、そしてわずかな水と食料を持って近くの小学校の体育館へ避難しました。
その後もずっと雨は降り続き眠れぬ一夜を過ごしました。
翌朝水上引いたので帰宅後することを許されて家に帰り玄関を開けた時の衝撃は忘れません。
重たい家具が転んだり流されたりでとて驚きと共に落胆しました。
洪水の水位は95センチ 家の中の床上は65センチにもなりました。
家の中は泥だらけで家具家電はほぼ廃棄処分になりました。
その中で空の仏壇だけは流されずそのままになっていたことが 私にとって空の存在を身近に感じ 私を見守ってくれていると確信しました。
そのことだけが唯一の救いとなりました。
片付けはまだまだ続きますが 空が見守ってくれているので頑張れます。
またたくさんの友だちの励ましに元気をもらっています。
