Help Kurt Recover

Many of my Facebook friends know my brother, Kurt.  He's lived in the Big Apple for over 30 years and recently underwent surgery to stop an infection in his foot.  Cumulative surgeries resulted in him losing 2 toes and eventually half of his right foot.  While we hope this will stop the infection, he needs extensive rehabilitation, physical therapy, and ongoing medical follow up to ensure his remaining foot fully heals and the infection doesn't return.

Kurt works in the event industry, designing and installing lighting around New York City and surrounding areas.  His job requires him to be on his feet frequently.  Since he lives in the city, he relies on walking and the subway -- all modes of transportation that require extensive time on his feet.  He is not drawing a salary and is only receiving a minimal disability payment through his employer.

We're doing all we can to support Kurt emotionally and financially; but, it's uncertain when and if he'll be able to go back to work at what he's done his entire professional career.  As with most insurances, his does not cover nearly enough of his medical costs.

I'm putting out this request to my Facebook friends who know Kurt to ask if you'd be willing and able to throw a couple of bucks Kurt's way to help cover medical co-payments, deductibles, and transportation costs associated with him going to and from doctors' and therapy appointments.  Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated!
