 Normally we'd be talking about the music, the shows and meeting everyone after each gig. Instead, every day we're waking up to messages from home, checking that our families and friends are safe.

 Kumamoto is where we live. It's where we've built our lives as a band, where we've made lifelong friends, and where we call home.
</div>

 Our singer Bobby has his wife, young son and grandparents there. Our drummer Edwin has family there. Our bassist Holy is still in Kumamoto. Our guitarist Jim's wife and grandchild are there too. Like so many others, they're living with the uncertainty that comes after a major earthquake, and we're desperately hoping everyone stays safe as the aftershocks continue.

 We've also heard from friends who have lost their homes. Others have been left without the things most of us take for granted. We won't really know the full extent of what's happened until we return home ourselves.

 Being on the other side of the world while all of this is happening is a horrible feeling. We can't jump on a plane today and help clear rubble or deliver supplies, but we can do something.

 So we've decided to dedicate the rest of our European tour to raising money for our community back in Kumamoto.
</div>

 Every donation to this fundraiser, together with 100% of the profits from every EirFoyl CD we sell during the rest of the tour, will go towards helping people in our community who have been directly affected by the earthquake. That includes friends, neighbours, fellow musicians and families we personally know who need support in the days and weeks ahead.

 The money will be used wherever it's needed most. That could be clean drinking water, food, temporary power, fuel, transport, accommodation or other essential supplies. We know there are also people who aren't able to get to evacuation centres because of age, disability or other circumstances. With the extreme summer heat, simply having electricity and access to water can make a huge difference.

 This fundraiser isn't about replacing the incredible work that emergency services and charities are doing. It's about helping the people around us the people we know personally who suddenly find themselves needing a helping hand.

 We'll keep everyone updated throughout the tour so you can see how much has been raised and how the money is being used. Being open and transparent is important to us, and we want everyone who supports this fundraiser to know exactly what their generosity is helping to achieve.

 Normaal gesproken zouden we het hebben over de muziek, de optredens en de geweldige mensen die we na elke show ontmoeten. Maar nu begint elke dag met berichten uit Japan, in de hoop dat onze familie en vrienden veilig zijn.

 Kumamoto is ons thuis. Hier wonen we, hier is EirFoyl ontstaan en hier hebben we de afgelopen jaren een leven opgebouwd. Het is de plek waar onze vrienden, buren en dierbaren wonen.

 We hebben inmiddels ook gehoord dat vrienden van ons hun huis zijn kwijtgeraakt. Anderen zijn allesbehalve zeker van wat de komende weken zullen brengen. Pas als we straks zelf terugkeren naar Japan, zullen we echt zien hoe groot de impact is geweest.

 Aan de andere kant van de wereld staan terwijl dit allemaal gebeurt, voelt machteloos. We kunnen niet vandaag nog naar huis om puin te ruimen of hulpgoederen uit te delen, maar we kunnen wél iets doen.

 Daarom hebben we besloten om de rest van onze Europese tour volledig in het teken te zetten van hulp aan onze gemeenschap in Kumamoto.

 Elke donatie aan deze actie, samen met 100% van de winst op alle EirFoyl-cd's die we tijdens de rest van de tour verkopen, gaat naar mensen uit onze eigen omgeving die direct door de aardbeving zijn getroffen. Dat zijn vrienden, buren, collega-muzikanten en families die we persoonlijk kennen en die de komende tijd alle hulp kunnen gebruiken.

 Het geld wordt ingezet waar de behoefte het grootst is. Denk aan schoon drinkwater, voedsel, tijdelijke stroomvoorziening, brandstof, vervoer, onderdak of andere noodzakelijke voorzieningen. We maken ons ook veel zorgen om mensen die door hun leeftijd, een beperking of andere omstandigheden niet naar een evacuatiecentrum kunnen gaan. Juist tijdens de extreme zomerhitte kunnen elektriciteit en schoon water van levensbelang zijn.

 Met deze actie willen we niet het werk van de hulpdiensten of grote hulporganisaties vervangen. We willen juist de mensen om ons heen helpen: mensen die we persoonlijk kennen en die onverwacht in een moeilijke situatie terecht zijn gekomen.
