Help My Only Daughter Krysti Beat Cancer 
 
It was likely an ordinary, bitter-cold winter day for everyone else, but for me, it was the first day of the rest of my life. It felt like spring as my daughter, Krysti, was born. Filled with wonder, awe, and love, I became a father for the first time that day. 
 
Krysti is everything anyone could ask for in a daughter, and then some. She’s selfless, thoughtful, caring, compassionate, witty, hardworking, and has the biggest heart in the world. She’s a ray of sunshine who always puts others before herself. 
 
Earlier this year, Krysti went to the ER and was found to be in stage 5 kidney failure. A CT scan revealed the cause: a massive cervical tumor. She was transferred to a larger hospital for emergency surgery, a bilateral nephrostomy, to save her kidneys and her life. Once she stabilized, a biopsy confirmed malignant cervical cancer (stage IV). 
 
She later had to return to the ER twice for severe hemorrhaging, which accelerated the start of her treatment. Krysti recently completed five weeks of targeted radiotherapy and is now working with doctors to plan the next phase of care while fighting for her life every day. 
 
It’s heartbreaking enough to know my only daughter is in this fight. The stress and anxiety from the financial costs feel like a crushing defeat on top of watching her struggle with even the simplest daily tasks. As a father, I never wanted to feel this helpless… or to have to ask for help. 
 
I am swallowing my pride with tears in my eyes as I ask for your support so Krysti can focus on healing. Any amount makes a real difference. Funds will go toward medical bills, travel to treatments, and living expenses.
