Help Kristina Provide for Her Loving Family
Donation protected
I’m starting a go fund me for a friend of mine, Kristina Fuller. She is a full time nurse working 60+ hours a week, she is the sole provider for herself, her husband, her 6 year old son, and 16 month old daughter, and their beloved pets. She’s an LPN of 7 years and is in school working to advance to her RN. She is struggling making ends meet and has recently been given a diagnosis that will set her and her family back. She doesn’t have health care insurance, but she’s working on getting it. She has medical bills rolling in and is going to need lots of testing and neurology visits to try and figure out a treatment plan which could put her out of work for a while. It is highly possible she will end up needing surgery. Her family and friends are going to help her as much as we can, but there’s so much left she needs help covering to be able to focus on her health. Kristina has been one of my best friends since 2009, and she’s always been the type of person to go out of her way for her family and friends. She is a wonderful mother and person.
this is her story.
kristina states,
“My husband has been out of work for 4.5 months due to having surgery and having issues with healing so I've been supporting a family of 4 by myself. We have been getting by using credit cards but now those are all maxed out. He is starting back to work next week but I pay 80% of our household bills and by this point I'm so buried in debt I can't really afford health insurance. Four years ago I started having major seizures after a car wreck and was diagnosed with Epilepsy from the brain injury. Now, I've had frequent migraines for the last year and my testing shows I have Mesial Temporal Sclerosis and now have to see neurologists to figure out where we go from here. The new diagnosis basically means there is damage to one of the lobes of my brain that has scarred over and will continue to spread which will make the seizures worse. It's almost a catch 22. The scarring makes the seizures worse and with each seizure the scarring gets worse. Treatment with seizure medication has a poor success rate for controlling the seizures. The most effective treatment for this disease is removing the scarred portion of my brain called a temporal lobectomy. I work a full time job and a part time job on the side trying to take care of my family but now I'll have to start taking days off to go to appointments and paying out of pocket for the specialist visits until I can find insurance that will accept me and I can possibly afford. The life expectancy for someone with this disease that doesn't have success getting the seizures controlled is not long. The disease is progressive and will continue to get worse over time and as it gets worst there is cognitive decline.”
100% of donations will go to the Fuller family. We want to help take some of the stress, financial, and mental load off of her so that she can afford the medical care she needs so she can have a chance to have a long full life with her family and friends and hopefully give her the ability to work less hours. Both of her babies adore her.
Thank you and God bless.
