<div>Hello Everyone - the past few weeks have been rough. 
</div>

<div>We’ve learned that Tonda’s cancer &amp; tumor have stopped responding to chemotherapy &amp; have grown a size that there is no recovery from. 
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The doctors offered a few therapies that could have potentially given her a couple of months, but wouldn’t have improved her situation - she had become bedridden &amp; her cognitive decline was significant. 
</div>

</div>
<div>Tonda said that she was done. 
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The decision was made to move to comfort care only &amp; has now quickly moved to hospice care. 
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The disease has moved very quickly &amp; we don’t anticipate her to be on this plane much longer. While there are no exacts, we believe she only has a week or so. 
</div>

<div>She is still with me at my home in Oakland &amp; there are additional caregivers making sure she is as comfortable as possible. 
</div>

<div>Our intention is for her to pass surrounded by laughter, good smells from the kitchen, music &amp; those she loves.

<div>These last few years have brought many of us a lot of challenges, and Kristie is dealing with more than most. Some of you may already know that Tonda Fuller (aka Isobel Carr), her best friend of 36 years, has been fighting CNS Lymphoma for several years, and due to the recent discovery of an associated brain tumor, is undergoing a difficult period of cognitive impairment. As a result, she requires 24-hour, round-the-clock care while new treatment options are explored.

<div>Kristie has been able to step up and offer her home, time, and energy to provide care, but this leaves her in a very difficult financial position, as she’s unable to work or job hunt with any consistency. Expenses are adding up fast, and while she has a close-knit group of friends and family who are doing their best, her living funds are being depleted at a rapid rate.

<div>With no sense yet of how long this phase of intense caregiving will last, Kristie is running out of options and needs our help. Please consider donating to help Kristie keep her household afloat during this emotionally stressful and exhausting time. Her primary focus is keeping Tonda/Isobel safe, getting her to every necessary appointment, and ensuring that everyone can focus on the fight to get through this awful experience.
