<div>Kristi works at an animal hospital in our hometown in New York. Through her work, she was able to foster and subsequently adopt the sweetest little French bull dog you can imagine... Maddie!

<div>Maddie, who was unfortunately neglected when she was a pup, developed an excessive amount of polyps in both of her ears, eventually leading to evasive surgery to remove them all. In order to keep her safe and healthy, the doctors were left with no choice but to sew her ears shut, rendering her almost completely deaf. And while this solution helps one problem, it can certainly cause others which it did recently.

<div>Maddie had stopped eating and her behavior was erratic and unusual. After many tests at several private clinics, the doctors would fortunately rule out the more serious issues. However, she would eventually be diagnosed with a bilateral ear infection that would require extensive antibiotic regiments and several other very expensive medications to ensure that her condition didn't get worse.

<div>All this to say, the costs on the visits alone have put my sister in a very challenging position financially. Even with a discount for her employment at an Animal Hospital, the total charges for the visits, tests, and medications are far beyond anything a pet owner should have to pay or even can feasibly pay. That's why I have set up this GoFundMe campaign for her. She would NEVER expect something like or burden others with asking for help. So... I'm shamelessly doing it for her! She LOVES Maddie more than life itself and would do ANYTHING for her. And that's why I'm asking for your help.
