KoffieKlap is een gezellige Antwerpse koffiebar met een werkervaringsproject voor vrouwen met een achtergrond van uitbuiting en mensenhandel. In KoffieKlap krijgen trainees de kans om horeca skills te leren zoals barista, serveren en keukenhulp mèt de ondersteuning van een enthousiast team van vrijwilligers.
Door deelname aan het traject groeien trainees in gevoel van zelfwaarde, komen ze uit hun isolement en leren ze hun talenten ontwikkelen en inzetten èn oefenen ze de Nederlandse taal op de werkvloer. Na het doorlopen van werkervaringstraject stromen trainees door naar een betaalde job en verdere integratie in de samenleving.
KoffieKlap is direct gelinkt aan Cherut Belgium vzw die zich richt op outreach en hulpverlening aan slachtoffers van uitbuiting.
Door de coronamaatregelen heeft onze Koffiebar het heel moeilijk! Doordat de horeca moest sluiten is er geen inkomen, maar wel vaste kosten die maandelijks terugkomen. Daarom willen we uw hulp vragen om verder te kunnen gaan!

KoffieKlap is a coffee shop with a story, a story of new opportunities! To be able to continue the story of KoffieKlap, we need your help! (Would you help us?)
KoffieKlap is a cosy coffee shop in the center of Antwerp with a work experience project for women with a background of exploitation and human trafficking. At KoffieKlap, trainees are given the opportunity to learn hospitality business skills, like barista, serving and kitchen help skills with support from an enthusiastic and committed team of volunteers.
Through their participation in this project, trainees develop a sense of self worth, they break out of isolation and they learn to develop and use their skills and talent. On top of that, they get to practice Dutch at work. After participating in the project, trainees go on to find paid work and integrate into society. KoffieKlap is directly linked with Cherut Belgium vzw, a non-profit organization reaching out to and helping victims of exploitation.
Because of the corona measures, our coffee shop is going through a hard time! Because all cafes and restaurants have had to close, we have been unable to generate income, while all the monthly expenses have continued. That is why we are asking for your help to be able to survive.
