<div>I'm Koen. Wednesday (Nov. 19th) night, I ended up in the hospital over a freak accident in the kitchen. I took a step backward and slipped on a wet spot. I had to be taken in the ambulance to the hospital. Thursday morning, I had emergency surgery on my neck, I think between my 5/6 vertebrae. ACDF stands for Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion, a surgical procedure (fusion) to treat neck and arms.

<div>I got to come home last night (Nov. 21st), obviously still in a lot of pain and trying to regain range of motion in my arms and hands.

<div>Unfortunately, I'm out of work for at least 6 weeks (doctor recommended), and I was supposed to start a second job this week. Now that won't happen, and I have to hope they will let me work when I'm better. <strong>If anyone is feeling generous, my family and I would appreciate any donations</strong>. With the ambulance ride, X-rays, multiple CT scans, and MRIs, and possible Physical therapy, the bills are going to be outrageous. <strong>This was very unexpected and hard on my family. My wife and I have two little girls. </strong>
