This is Knox. He's been a close friend of Ryus's for years and he and his dad are an integral part of our little D&D community. He recently had his trach tube removed (he's had it since he was an infant), and is absolutely thrilled by the idea of finally being able to swim without the risk of having his trach fill with water. We have access to a community pool and can’t wait to share the fun with him and his family. However, Knox has very limited muscle control, and while his father is more than willing to hold him, we would love to give him some independence in the water. We have consulted with his family and chosen a flotation device that will keep him completely vertical and safe without additional hands-on assistance. Given that it is a certified hydrotherapy tool for individuals with limited mobility, it comes with a sturdy price tag. So, we are asking for help.
Please help us give Knox the freedom to enjoy swimming this summer. We appreciate your time and generosity!
Cheers!

Update: 2/22/25
Wow. You all made our day. $650 raised in a matter of hours. I’m going to move the goal post because I know there are other modifications and tools that would make Knox’s life easier, but know that his floatation device is already ordered and we’re now eagerly awaiting June.
Thank you!
