Help Kit with Her Plumbing

Kit needs our help. She's dedicated her entire life to helping survivors of domestic violence as an advocate (about 30 years doing this hard, necessary work), and now she's the one who could use assistance. As you might imagine, that work doesn't pay much, doesn't come with benefits and retirement plans, and as such, Kit has lived a frugal life in order to help. With the recent cold snap, Kit's pipe froze on her tiny cabin, and she just doesn't have the money to get it fixed and get her water back on. I think we're looking at around $3000 to fix this. Even if I'm off with this estimate, Kit could definitely use any extra funds. She drives everywhere to give talks on domestic violence, she co-wrote the book "Intimate Partner Violence: Effective Procedure, Response and Policy" (no profit from this--just another way she's tried to help), and trains law enforcement officers to handle domestic violence calls. She's a warrior.  Kit has given her life to helping women in scary, horrible positions. She's a good friend, a fantastic human being, and I'd love for her to know how much we all appreciate her, and what she does to make this world a better place. Let's show her that she's not alone. Please help! PS--if you'd like to know more about who Kit is, she was featured in the HBO film "Private Violence" a few years ago, and you will have a very good idea as to who she is after watching this film (I think it's on Netflix now).
