I'm Kirklyn, a widow and a mother of small children. We have been loyal renters for over a year; we don't owe money to the landlord nor have we caused any damage. However, due to mold overgrowth, toxic mold, and holes in my roof causing more mold, we were in a hotel paid for by my landlord. Yesterday, as I was walking in from work, I was asked to leave the hotel and told that my landlord would not be paying for any more accommodations.

We were blessed to get a room at another hotel for 2 nights, and my property manager has said I'm allowed to move back home tomorrow, but the mold has not been remediated; nothing has been done. I rent a duplex, and my neighbor was evicted today, and I'm guessing we are next.

I've worked so hard to provide stability for my kids after their father died, and I've done it, but now we are facing living in my car. I'm raising money to get into another place, an apartment, duplex, mobile home, anything really that is safe for my kids and me. I work, and my kids go to school in Clermont, and I'd love to stay in the area.

I truly do hate to ask for this help as I've asked everyone I thought possible. But this is my option right now. I don't want anything more than what every human deserves: healthy and stable living conditions for their kids. Please.
