This is so painful to share.

A dear friend and long-time coworker from La Quinta Costco, Kirk Johnson unexpectedly passed away on June 27th. His cause of death was hypertensive heart disease.

He had recently left Costco after 19 years. He was recognized and liked by anyone who frequented Costco. He always had a smile on his face.

In the nearly 2 decades we worked in sales together I also got to know his wife Carol, who was the love of his life. His son Austin was his pride and joy. He also loved showing off pictures of his 1 year old granddaughter. He was over the moon about her.

You are never prepared, but with the sudden loss we are doing what we can to support his family. When he left Costco he no longer had life insurance benefits. We are asking for your help to pay for the costs his associated with his cremation and other necessities to offset their financial burden to his family.

The majority of his family lives in Santa Cruz so that's where his service will be held.
