Help Kidspot Rebuild After Boulder Wildfire

 

The devastating Colorado wildfires of December 30th 2021 had a tragic impact on so many. Hundreds of homes burned down, people displaced, lives so sadly disrupted.

One very special place that was affected is Kidspot Pediatric Therapies in Louisville, Colorado. Children with special needs come to Kidspot for the outstanding therapy services (PT, OT, Speech) to aid their development. At Kidspot they are guided by the most loving , qualified and dedicated therapists.

Our 4.5 year old daughter, Sophie, has been working with therapists at Kidspot since she was 15 months old. She is there every week, sometimes twice a week, working hard to overcome her physical and gross motor development disabilities due to her rare disorder. It is impossible to express what this place means for us and the families who rely on these services. Kidspot is a happy and loving space where kids feel excited and comfortable to be themselves and to work hard on overcoming their challenges.

 

Because of the impact of the wild fires, we don't know when we will be able to go back to this special place. While the building is standing, it is in shambles and the space itself, the equipment and pediatric therapy tools are destroyed. There is also a need for mental health personnel as many of the children are now dealing with fears as a result of the tragedy that has befallen Louisville and the surrounding area. Further, the wonderful people at Kidspot must now go into rebuilding and cleanup mode, and in the meantime all of the people who on go there may not have a space to continue therapy.

 

We ask you to please consider making a donation of any amount you can to help the rebuilding process. Help us get our kids back into Kidspot as soon as possible, and enable these incredible therapists to continue their important work.
