Help Kids Play Sports Free!

Let’s help more kids play sports. My goal is to launch a non-profit organization to raise funds to help children that are either at-risk or financially unable to participate play their sport of choice for free.

Sports are more than just an activity. They are more than just winning or losing, awards and trophies. Sports teach kids life skills they can use on and off the field. Competitive sports teach focus, teamwork, dedication, perseverance, work ethic, how to gracefully win, and more importantly, how to pick yourself up when you lose.

Unfortunately, the reality is that sports programs can be expensive. For many, they will never be able to participate because of the financial strain it would put on their family. Many years ago, I operated and owned professional martial arts schools. There were many times that families were interested in getting their kids into training, but the cost was just too high. We did allow some to train at discounted prices, gave scholarships, or found some way to allow them to train, but for professional programs, there are only so many instances where that is possible and still be able to keep the business running. Fast forward many years, I started coaching my son’s football team. It’s a similar story. I’ve seen kids want to play but their parents just can’t afford it. Or, they can afford to let them play one season, but they’re never able to continue. How many of those kids needed positive reinforcement that they weren’t getting at home or school? How many had difficulties making friends and could have benefited from the camaraderie? How many of them experienced issues with bullies and could have used some confidence and self-esteem? How many of them were at that fork in the road and sports could have veered them in the positive direction?

The funds I’m raising will be used in the following way;

- Organizational fees to form and launch a 501c3.

- Legal and attorney fees for the proper contracts for partnerships and sponsorships.

- Professional website development.

- Marketing.

- Sponsoring children’s gear and fees for the sport of their choice.

We have already found a way to sponsor three kids from a local children’s home to play football. That’s a good start, but with your help, we can help children all over the country have a chance to be their very best!
