Help kids at school eat

My friend posted today that you can call and pay off a kids overdue lunch account. I saw on the news last night that there are kids in elementary schools little babies that walk up to the lunch line having no idea if they are going to eat that day because they don’t know if their lunch accounts are past due. This is happening all over our communities. I can’t imagine the look on my daughters faces if they walked up ready to eat with their friends just to find out that they can’t eat lunch that day. It honestly broke my heart hearing that this is going on in the elementary school right next to my house in Sanford. I called them today and talked to the lunch manager and they have $276.00 in overdue lunch fees which she told me meant that a lot of kids won’t be able to eat there today. I’m not ashamed to say that it brought tears to my eyes. I am writing you not to guilt anyone into helping or to make you feel bad at all, but if there is any way you guys would want to help stop this please help. We have to help the kids in our communities before we help anyone overseas. These are the future leaders of our cities. No child should ever not have food or suffer the embarrassment of not eating. I was on free lunch all through elementary school and the kids in the lines know you are when you get up there it was something I was made fun of for. Please help these kids. I want to pay off as many lunches as we can around town.
