Help Kent Get Back on His Feet After Boulder Fire

Hi friends,

My younger brother, Kent (26), lost his home in the Marshall Fire in Superior, CO (outside Boulder) right after the Christmas holiday on December 30, 2021. Thankfully, he was able to get out safely, but he wasn’t able to save anything aside from his truck and the few items he already had in it. Kent was at home the morning of the fire and described the experience as, “smelling something burning and within 4 minutes had evacuated the house and was driving through the smoke”. He was able to alert his other roommate, but he was not able to grab any possessions, documents, or personal items.

He’s in a surprisingly good mindset, accepting “it is what it is you know”, but I know it will take a lot to help him get back on his feet. Since graduating from CU Boulder with a B.A. in Astrophysics in 2019, Kent has been building a life in the suburbs of Boulder, working as a Programming Specialist for Nuventra Pharma Sciences and going off-roading and camping in his truck on the weekends. He was especially proud of the home gym and tool collection he had built, as well as his mountain bike and camping gear.

I understand not everyone is in a position to provide financial support, so any energetic support you can provide (if that’s through meditation, prayer, or any other form) would be deeply appreciated. I also understand not everything can be replaced (like the rifle our deceased grandfather left Kent), but anything to help Kent feel like he’s getting a “home” back would be life-changing.
