Hello, I'm starting with Kenny's approval. He had a major hemorrhagic stroke in August 2025 due to stress.
*They had to do an emergency craniotomy to relieve the pressure when he became unresponsive. Well, that has left him without his skull and without use of his left side. He has come from being completely independent to requiring 24/7 help. He went from the ICU to a rehab in Haverhill. Then insurance decide not to pay for the rehab any more so they moved him to a nursing home. On 11/20, he decided he had enough so he came home. Well we found out that the VNA doesn't have any PT available so he has to cover the PT himself. That doesn't help as much as it should as it's hard in the place he is living. He is still getting OT 2 times a week but that isn't enough either.
*He has a surgery scheduled for 12/26 to put the skull back on but will still need a leg brace (KAFO) and will still have no use of his left arm/hand. They are not sure if he will ever get use of his upper left side back. He is working very hard to regain feeling back but right now is out of work. He is getting short-term disability through his job but that doesn't cover everything.
*He is going to need a motorized wheelchair to get around so he can feel more independent.
*Any help, whether a donation or just sharing, will help. Once he meets the goal to get the chair, the remaining amount will go towards making the house accessible for him and cover any other bills.
*Once the skull is put back with plates and screws, he will still need further assistance and help.
*If you can't donate, that is fine. Thank you in advance.
