Hello friends, I'm helping a neighbor: a young gay man escaping a violent and controlling partner who brought him to New York, where he has no community. For Ken's safety, we're not sharing his photo or full name. He is in a safe place at the moment.

His ex broke his phone and withheld his belongings, leaving him with no access to money or a way to contact his family. We're getting his phone repaired and we're reaching out to our community to help send Ken safely to Atlanta.

Ken's is in his early 20s and been living on his own since 15 with little support. He is now a licensed practical nurse and has the ability to support himself. He just needs some help to get safely on his way.

Ken's family in Atlanta can offer him a place to stay but don't have the financial resources to get him there. Funds raised will also help Ken buy groceries and get settled in an apartment.
