Help Kelsey Taylor Create Her Last Wish

Donation protected

Kelsey Taylor of Norwood, Massachusetts sadly passed away surrounded by her loved ones on May 6th 2021. Kelsey suffered from sickle cell disease (SCD) all of her life and was additionally diagnosed with Leukemia this past year. The effects of the SCD took a toll on Kelsey and prevented her from participating in daily life activities around age 16. She opted into an experimental treatment at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Maryland and had a haplo-identical stem cell transplant. Unfortunately, the transplant did not take, however, for 6 years her health was stabilized. Then after graduating college in December 2019 Kelsey began searching for a job, as the weeks passed she felt more tired and was hospitalized in March 2020 and diagnosed with Leukemia (P53 mutation). Since the Leukemia diagnosis she endured 2 back to back transplants, only to have the Leukemia return after 1 month.

Kelsey was taken by ambulance to the ER on Monday 3/1/2021 due to pain in her lower back. The evaluation (including a bone marrow aspiration) showed that the severe pain was due to 80% of her cells being Leukemia. She remained hospitalized for the majority of March, through April, battling infections, enduring severe pain and several medical procedures to allow IV access for treatment. Eventually the Leukemia progressed causing her death.

Kelsey has been a fighter for her whole life and her last wish was to create a foundation to help others suffering from Sickle Cell Anemia and Leukemia.

Proceeds will go directly to Laura Taylor (Kelsey's mother) to help create the Kelsey Elizabeth Taylor Foundation to help other families that are fighting the same battle.

Laura is a hard-working single mother who has raised two beautiful girls on her own. Donations will allow us to grant Kelsey's last wish of creating a foundation to help others.

Prayers for Kelsey and her family during this difficult time and any monetary donation you may wish to give to help the Taylor family create this Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Kelsey and her family have always been the ones to fight and sacrifice. We have the opportunity to show our support. Let's help this beautiful woman and her family to help others, as well as, remember such an amazing strong woman who was devoted to helping others.

Thank you for your time. ❤

Also a huge thank you to Robert Hare Photography for the beautiful photos and video of Kelsey’s parade!
