Hey Everyone,
One of our dear friends Kelly Jo suffered a pretty severe stroke in her brainstem about 2 weeks ago. This is a rare type of stroke that will require intense therapy. She is currently progressing with all forms of therapy that come with having a stroke in an inpatient neurological therapy facility and will be there for a month. Then they move into outpatient care. The treatment is going to take some time, patience and dedication. We are currently trying to raise money to help offset the medical bills and day to day purchases/costs, that way Kelly and her family can focus all their time on her therapy and get her better instead of worrying about finances. Kelly Jo is a fighter, and we fully believe that with the right therapy she will thrive again. She retired from the U.S. Navy and has worked in the civil services for over 10 years.
This will hit close to home for a lot of us as Kelly jo is family and friend to so many, but she is also our Fire Chief Patrick Francois’ wife. This is a brother to so many who he has worked with, and in our profession, a brother just for the uniform that he wears. So that makes Kelly jo family to all of us just as well. In their time of need, I hope everyone one out there can spare just a little time to help by donating, or sharing this fundraiser with others.
These funds, that we raise will help ensure that Kelly Jo can continue to get the best possible treatment, bringing her back to her best. As well as set their minds at ease knowing that because of the support from all the family, friends and strangers out there, they can focus strictly on therapy and not have to worry about other things getting in the way.
