<div>Kelly Sparks Needs Us Now More Than Ever

<div>Just a few weeks ago, our friend Kelly Sparks suffered a serious embolic stroke that left her hospitalized and in need of months of rehabilitation. In the midst of her stroke recovery, doctors discovered something even more devastating: cancer.

<div>A biopsy of an inflamed lymph node revealed that Kelly has lung cancer. It is confirmed to be at least Stage III, and further testing is underway to determine whether it has progressed to Stage IV. There is no Stage V. This is as serious as it gets.

<div>While the diagnosis is overwhelming, there is hope. The specific type of cancer Kelly has responds well to certain treatments, and her doctors are optimistic. Her oncology team is preparing a treatment plan that will likely include chemotherapy, radiation, and possibly surgery. But the road ahead will be long and grueling — made even more complicated by the stroke she is still recovering from.

<div>This is a fight for her life — and for the chance to be here for her two young daughters.

<div>Kelly won’t be able to work for the foreseeable future. Between stroke rehab and cancer treatment, she has no source of income and no financial safety net to support herself and her children. She needs our help, urgently, to get through this.
