Help Kelly as She Fights Cancer

Let’s help our friend Kelly beat Cancer….
Hi everyone. I’m writing this GoFundMe request for my dearest friend Kelly Sheehan. The strongest woman I know…Proud, hard working, funny, bright, and loving mom to her beautiful daughter Lexie. Kelly is a loyal friend who doesn’t mince with words and keeps things real. She and I became close friends over our love of horses and the Kentucky Derby.
Kelly has fought metastatic breast cancer 4 times over a period of 15 years and recently she was told she’s in for round 5. The cancer has spread to her brain meaning grueling rounds of radiation and 3 months of chemotherapy beginning the end of this month.
True to her sense of humor she will roll her eyes and tell you cancer is just a ‘pain in the ass’. She will tell you that not because she’s thinking of herself, but the hours spent away from work to drive to Boston for treatment. Kelly is a single mother who works tirelessly and selflessly to provide everything for her daughter.
Lately however, it is becoming increasingly difficult for her to keep up with her normal schedule at work. She is not a person who asks for help. Lately, the radiation treatments alone have been physically challenging for her. The chemotherapy starting the end of this month will make most days especially challenging.
I want to help her any way I can during this difficult time. Kelly isn’t a complainer but will tell you fighting cancer is stressful. As her friends, coworkers and family, let’s help alleviate the added financial stress due to time away from her job.
Donations will be used to help supplement lost wages, travel and living expenses due to time away for treatment and recovery. Any amount is greatly and humbly appreciated.
