After moving back from out of state, my plans for a stable home fell through unexpectedly. Since then, my autistic daughter and I have been living in hotels, trying to make ends meet while I rely on disability income. The cost of long-term hotel stays is overwhelming, and our savings are nearly gone. We've reached out for aid and support, but so far, we've only been placed on housing waiting lists. The uncertainty and stress of not knowing where we'll sleep next is taking a toll, especially on my daughter, who needs stability and routine.
