Hola.

“If God created the earth for all of us, no one should have to be a migrant.”

Hello. We are part of the Ecuadorian community. Due to the difficult situation we are facing as migrant families, we are asking for support from the community to help raise funds for rent and food. Many families are afraid to go to work or even buy groceries due to fear of being detained.

What began as help for a few families has grown significantly. We are now raising funds to support 14 families, and the number continues to grow.

Below are some of the stories of the families we are currently supporting. All of the families are Ecuadorian.

A family of four with two children: a 7-year-old child and a 2-year-old child with a chronic illness. The mother had to leave her job to care for the children. The father is only able to work limited hours.

Update: The father was detained during an immigration appointment on January 23. He has no criminal record, and we have been given no information yet regarding his current whereabouts. The family continues to face severe hardship following his detention, and is desperately seeking financial help to afford the father’s potential bail and upcoming rent payments.

A family of eight, with six children, who currently do not have a stable income and need help covering basic needs.

A family of three with a 6-month-old baby and an 8-year-old child. The father was recently detained, and the mother is afraid to leave home to work. They need help with food, diapers, and rent.

A single mother with a 5-year-old child, facing the same fear and uncertainty.

A family of four with a 1-year-old baby and an 8-year-old child. The mother stays home caring for the children due to fear of going out. The father had to leave one of his jobs and can now only work in a limited capacity.

A family with two children, who are currently not attending school due to fear of leaving home. They are living with constant fear and financial hardship. The father has changed how he gets to work to reduce risks.

Another family with two children, a 6-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl. They are facing financial hardship and difficulty accessing food. The father had to leave his job after recent detentions, and currently, only the mother can work limited days.

We are doing everything we can to protect our children, but the current circumstances have left us extremely vulnerable and in urgent need of assistance.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your help.
