Help keep Silver Queen Cafe afloat
I love Silver Queen Cafe.
I love Jason, Nicole, and Astrud, and they love living and working in our neighborhood.
I want to help them make it through this. I want them to be able to reopen in our neighborhood.
As you probably know, all bars and restaurants in Maryland are closed down until further notice. Out of an abundance of caution, Jason and Nicole already made the difficult decision to shutter their restaurant before the current closure order was made. They knew this decision would take away the only source of revenue for their family.
I contacted them about the possibility of a fundraiser for them, and they reluctantly agreed. This is not a fundraiser by the restaurant, there are not gift cards attached to this, and there are no reward levels. I just want to help out my friends in need.
I'm asking those of us who love Silver Queen Cafe to help them through this time. They're committed to reopening when possible, but that means they have to be able to keep paying the rent on their restaurant and all their other bills while receiving absolutely no income. If you've been there and enjoyed your meal, consider giving them some small token of appreciation during this time. If you're in Northeast Baltimore and take some pride in having such an esteemed restaurant in our little neck of the woods, show them your love. Remember when Jason was runner-up for Best Chef behind Cindy Wolf? Pretty cool, right?
I am not affiliated with the restaurant in any way. I will not take a single penny from this; it will all go to help this family make it through a period of no income and to return to our community when this is all over.

Again, to be clear, I am not benefiting from this, I'm just trying to help out a family of friends who also happen to run an amazing restaurant blocks from my house. Please consider helping them out while we all struggle through this!
