Help Keep Jax and Mommy Together
Donation protected
Meet baby Jax! Jax was born 7 weeks premature this week in North Bay hospital after a terrifying two weeks on bed rest after labour began dangerously early. His incredibly strong and determined mama Leana Bernier has been fighting with him every step of the way.
Unfortunately, Leana is being discharged within a few days while Jax will be staying in North Bay until August 13th.
Jax and mommy are both recovering well at this point thanks in great part to his mama being able to be near by to breast feed and give him skin-to-skin contact.
Being a single mother with one income and not working, it is not financially feasible for Leana to stay in North Bay or to drive up daily for a month and a half while Jax is in the hospital.
We are asking for donations to help make it possible for Leana to stay in north bay at the near-by college residence so she can be with her baby daily, continuing to breastfeed and give him the best start in life possible.
Thank you so much in advance for any contribution. Donations will be directly used for cost of living, travel and accommodation for the duration of Jax’s hospitalization.
