We are a community online radio station for Brackley and the surrounding villages, supporting our local community by providing varied, interesting and entertaining content via online broadcasts, social media and on our website. We identified the need within our community to bring the many wonderful organisations and events together, and to bring Brackley and the surrounding villages together via a relevant current local radio station that can be accessed by most people. It also provides talented local people with a chance to shine. BCR have also recently been awarded the Rose of Northamptonshire for it’s work in the community during the COVID-19 epidemic.
The main thing we are trying to do is ‘create a local radio station that improves community spirit, adds to the area’s quality of life, and helps to support and regenerate things locally.’
Why we need your support
It has been a tough time for everyone recently with COVID-19 and we have seen planned revenue via advertising diminish as a result. Fortunately, Brackley Community Radio were able to secure a small grant from Brackley Town Council to help towards some of the associated costs of running the station, but we are still short of the total required to secure BCR for another year. Your donations will be used to pay for things like licences and subscriptions as well as updating and maintaining our equipment.
BCR is a non for profit organisation run by a team of dedicated volunteers, but without any financial support we will not be able to keep the station running.
Anything you can gift would be greatly appreciated from all of us at Brackley Community Radio. Thank you.
