<div>We are Karina and Eduardo parents to Kayla. Our 1st born 5 year old baby girl! At the age of 2, to be exact on June 29,2021 we took Kayla to the ER at Community Regional Medical center (Downtown Fresno) and immediately blood work was done, and we were told she is Type One Diabetic.

<div>2 weeks in the ICU was so rough and we definitely had so much to learn on how we would be able to manage her diabetes every day for the rest of our life’s! She has to be the strongest little girl we have ever met! All those pokes and bloodwork, not everyone can handle, but she sure does!!! Kayla is a T-Slim pump and a Dexcom G6 which mange her daily life.

<div>Thank god today she is going on 4 years of being a strong warrior!! But, recently she met a lady with Type one at the park with a service dog! She instantly fell in love and since then has begged for a service dog! We finally came across one that is available near us!!!!!!! It is so rare to find one because usually there is a waitlist!

<div>A service dog will help us be able to read her sugars before her Dexcom alerts us or her Pump! He/she will warn Kayla or anyone that she is going low, or is too high. The dog will also provide comfort and be a forever companion to her.❣️
