Help Kathy & her family fight

In August of 2016, I had the chance of meeting Kathy at the start of our journey through nursing school to become registered nurses. Since our first class together we have become inseparable partners through studying, complaining, and daily struggles of everyday life stressors combined with nursing school.

During the considered toughest semesters of the program, Kathy began to experience various health issues causing visits to primary doctors with little pain management. Unable to cope with severe pain, Kathy was admitted to the hospital where numerous diagnostic procedures were performed. Completely shocking everyone in her life in addition to herself, it was cancer.

At home Kathy has a husband with chronic medical problems himself requiring numerous weekly treatments. She also has her three children living in the home, one of which is disabled, along with her granddaughter.

Kathy is a miracle woman with all that she handles daily at home, school, work as a CNA, and now having a cancer diagnosis. Due to foreseen treatments and procedures in relation to her diagnosis, it has made her dream of becoming a registered nurse reluctantly be put on a pause- in which we are all hurting from.

I am hoping to raise some money to aid in treatment payments, future tuition payments, and monthly bills for her and her family. I can’t imagine a better future nurse, study partner, second mother, and best friend. Anything helps, especially prayers. Thank you so much for taking the time to read just a glimpse of Kathy’s story.
