<div>"My sweet, wonderful baby girl, Katarina, was diagnosed with cancer this week. B-cell ALL, a type of leukemia. She’s been sick with a cough since November.

<div>We took Katarina to Urgent Care last Monday because her cough has just been getting worse and worse and our doctor kept telling us she was fine, that it’s a bad flu season, but we noticed her lips looked blue and she had dark circles under her eyes. We just felt unsettled about it all.

<div>So my friend Victoria suggested we go to the Urgent Care. We asked them to do a blood draw in case she was anemic. We got the results the next day and they told us to go to the ER immediately because she had crazy low white and red blood cells.

<div> We started chemo already. The next month will be heavy chemo and isolation since her immune system is so weak. Hopefully the chemo can kill the cancer by the end of the month and then it’s 2-2.5 years of maintenance.

<div>Big shout out to @anastasianarinskiy, who has been sitting in a parking lot for 8-12 hours a day to watch my 3 week old, Nikolai, so I could come down and feed him every three hours and spend the rest of the hospital visit with Katarina.

<div>I’m so thankful for the best family and friends in the world during this.  And that Katarina is a fighter. She’s done amazing. ❤️"

<div>The family will have to keep Katarina in isolation for a month. Her father, @narinskiy is an actor, and due to the SAG and WGA strike, work has been tough to come by, causing potential issues with health insurance for the family.
