<div>My Story: From Darkness to Stability — and Now, Forward Into Purpose
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hi friends,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Many of you know pieces of my story, but today I’m asking for your support in the next chapter.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Seven years ago, my life looked very different. After the loss of my father and years of addiction, domestic violence, and a devastating dependency case, I had almost given up on myself. But by the grace of God, the support of programs like Prodigal Daughters, and the unwavering love for my daughter, I fought my way back.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I have now been clean and sober for 5 years.
</div>
<div>I earned back full custody of my daughter.
</div>
<div>I work for the 12th Judicial Circuit Court, where I get to serve families every day.
</div>
<div>I sit on civic boards, mentor others, and use my lived experience to help shape child welfare curriculum for Florida State University.
</div>
<div>And I am now preparing to start law school, so I can advocate for families and children who are facing the same system I once stood on the other side of.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This year, another miracle happened:
</div>
<div>I was approved for a Habitat for Humanity home.
</div>
<div>A safe place to raise my daughter — something I once only dreamed about.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>What I Need Help With
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>1. Habitat for Humanity Down Payment – $2,000</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To secure my home, I need to raise a $2,000 down payment. This house represents stability, safety, and a foundation my daughter can grow up on.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>2. Law School Tuition Gap – $10,000</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I have worked incredibly hard to avoid taking on student loans, but I am facing a $10,000 gap for this coming year. This gap determines whether I can start law school without falling into debt that could affect my ability to serve my community long-term.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>I am asking for help — not because I am unwilling to work for these goals, but because I have already fought so far, and these last two steps are bigger than I can do alone.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Why This Matters
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>When I was at my lowest, it was strangers and community members who helped me rise. Now, I am dedicating my life to giving that same hope back to others — to families struggling in the child welfare system, to women in addiction, to children who deserve stability and safety.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every dollar you give helps me continue that mission.
</div>
<div>Every donation is a brick in the house I’m building — literally and figuratively.
</div>
<div>And every bit of support helps me become the lawyer, advocate, and mother I am striving to be.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you can’t give, sharing this means just as much.
</div>
<div>Thank you for believing in redemption, resilience, and second chances.
</div>
<div>Thank you for believing in me. ❤️
</div>
