Help Karen with funeral & other expenses

Donation protected

On January 4, 2021, Brian Day started his day like any other.  His loving wife, Karen, woke him up that morning and kissed him goodbye before she left for work.  Brian got a call that they needed him to come to work so he got ready for work and headed out.  Brian loved his job as a snow plow operator for Emcon and it showed. He took great pride in making sure the equipment he used was always clean and never damaged.  Before heading out from the shop, Brian text Karen that he loved her and that he would honk his horn as he went by Karen’s work.   She sent back a text saying she loved him.  True to his word, when he was driving by Karen’s work, he laid on the horn, smiled his big beautiful smile and waved.  Then Brian was gone. Brian suffered heart failure and never regained consciousness despite the best efforts of police, paramedics and the staff at BGH.  To say that Karen is heartbroken is an understatement. Brian was her world.

Over the past couple of days, Karen and I have talked to a lot of people to inform them of Brian’s passing and we heard the same phrase many times, “Let me know if there is anything I can do”.  Well, there is.  Brian did not have a will.  Karen will need to pay for his funeral expenses and many other things over the coming months. So we are asking for donations to go to Karen to help her in her time of need.  Brian was the type of guy that would always help those in need.  Lets honour his memory by helping Karen at this most difficult time.
