On Friday, July 17, 2026 around 8:30 pm, a devastating barn fire hit the Kaminski farm. The family lost all the hay to feed their herd of cattle. Over the beginning of summer, they worked from sun up to sun down making hay to feed their herd for the winter. In a matter of hours, days and days of hard work was gone. A skid steer parked in the barn exploded and started the hay on fire. Thankfully, no one was hurt and all of the animals were out of the barn. However, this leaves the family with nothing to feed their herd of cattle.

 This was a large barn fire and 22 other area fire departments assisted the Rosholt Fire Department in extinguishing the fire. However, the fire will still ignite as there are still hot spots within the hay. Many thanks to all of the fire departments who responded and worked relentlessly to put this big fire out! The family’s gratitude is more than you can imagine.
