Help Kaleb Get the Surgery He Needs
Tax deductible
Kaleb was found a month ago in a ditch by a very kind man who worked for the Department of Transportation. At that time, Kaleb was very emaciated, only weighing 16 pounds, his right back leg was broken and the bone had came through his skin, his femur was damaged to his hip, and unable to walk.
D.O.T. called Clifford's Army Rescue and we met them on the road, immediately taking Kaleb ( who is named for the road he was found on) to our vets office) Kaleb has spent a month at our vets recovering from many of his injuries, putting on some much needed weight and preparing to go to a specialist to find out what is needed to fix his legs.
In the past month, he has gained up to 27 pounds, he is heart worm negative, a year old, cattle dog mix, with the most wonderful personality ever. During his month stay at in our wonderful vets care, we have spent $656.
Kaleb wants to meet and greet everyone, people and dogs alike but after visiting Carolina Veterinary Specialists today, we know that he has a long road to recovery. Most likely hit by a car, Kaleb needs extensive surgery to fix his legs. His Surgeon wants to do surgery next week on Thursday. Our estimate is between $6000 and $7000 and with Kaleb only a year old, we want to give him the opportunity to have the life he deserves and his legs fixed as they should be. We do not want to have him have issues later on because he did not get the surgeries he needed. His consult invoice today was $161.00
Please if you can find it in your heart to contribute, no amount is too small, it all adds up. We take in dogs out of love, because we care so much, without thought as to whether we can afford it, and we depend on caring compassionate people to help us to help dogs like Kaleb.
Clifford's Army Rescue is a 501c3 non profit all volunteer rescue who depends solely on fundraisers and your generosity.
