UPDATE on Kai Thelusma and his Mom Leah

Hello friends and neighbors :

My name is Gilda Juarez, my family and I have known Kai and Leah for about 10 years - Kai Thelusma is 12 years old and has been part of the College Park Community since Kid E Place, if you know, you know =). Kai and Christian have been friends since they were both about 2 years old!

Some of you may know Kai from Orlando Babe Ruth as a wicked left handed pitcher, first baseman and designated hitter, or you may remember him from Princeton Elementary. He is sweet young boy at his core and is often mistaken by his stature and playful joking nature.

Kai and his mother would like you to know that he sustained an injury due to an unfortunate accident earlier this year and has had collateral issues since. Kai is now in the hospital and has been since Tuesday June 1, 2021. He has had many tests done and has been given prolonged bed rest until they get more information. Leah has been by his side since, and of course bills and uncertainty of work are starting to add up as there is no discharge date or diagnosis as of yet.
