Mary is raising funds for her sister, Julie, after the Lala hurricane turned Julie’s life upside down. Julie’s home in Na'alehu, where Julie had lived for 27 years, was destroyed and literally floated away in the storm. Julie had to be evacuated by search and rescue, and in the aftermath Julie lost not only the house, but also the car and all of Julie’s belongings. This is Julie's home after Lala turned it around and pushed it into the orchard next door. After building a life there for so many years, Julie is now facing the overwhelming reality of starting over from nothing. 
 
 
 This loss has been especially hard because Julie is retired, living on Social Security, recovering from breast cancer, and has limited mobility. Right now, the immediate goal is to help Julie replace a car so Julie can get where help is needed, and then hopefully help Julie move into a rental property and begin rebuilding some stability. Anything helps. Mary and the whole family are so grateful for any kindness, prayers, or support you can give to help Julie take these first steps toward rebuilding life after this devastating hurricane.
