Help Julie Get to Her Cancer Treatments!

Welcome to Julie’s GoFundMe page! We’re raising funds to support my dear friend and yours, Julie Fanning, as she courageously battles breast cancer. Julie is one of the most resilient and inspiring people I know. Even during this tough time, she continues to share her positivity, humor, and vulnerability, reminding us all what true strength looks like.

One of the biggest challenges Julie faces is getting to and from her vital chemo treatments at Mt. Sinai. Without reliable access to a car, she relies on Uber and Lyft rides, which can run upwards of $45 each way, and quickly add up and are starting to cause some a financial strain on top of other expenses. We’re aiming to raise just about $3,000 to cover her transportation costs over the next 18 weeks, helping her focus on recovery without added financial stress.

Julie isn’t entirely comfortable accepting financial help but recognizes that no one should have to give up the things that bring them joy or deplete their savings to fight cancer. In that vein, we’d also like to highlight organizations like the Susan G Komen Foundation and the Road to Recovery Program by the American Cancer Society, which support underserved cancer patients and breast cancer research. And if you have the financial bandwidth, the Cycle for Survival fundraiser is also very close to Julie’s heart. If Julie’s diagnosis can help others in less fortunate circumstances it would make this entire experience that much more worthwhile.
