<div>However, during the operation came the second and most painful news: the liver tumor was not a metastasis, as previously believed. It was a rare, malignant, and extremely dangerous tumor. It had already reached about 20 cm (the size of a pineapple) and couldn’t be removed, as there is a risk of fatal hemorrhage if handled improperly.

<div>I was referred to a specialist in São Paulo who gave me a clear warning: this surgery needs to be done urgently. I can’t wait for the public healthcare system (SUS), which by law has up to 60 days to respond—I simply don’t know if I have that much time. The tumor grows daily, and its rupture could cost me my life.

<div>While I wait, I’m on strict bed rest—I can’t ride in a car, have visitors, or risk any abdominal impact. It’s a life of fear and waiting. But I want to live.
